Wisdom Circles: A Guide to Self-Discovery and Community Building in Small Groups
, by Charles Garfield, Cindy Spring and Sedonia Cahill (Hyperion, 1998).  The book devotes a chapter on the why and how of each "constant," followed by seven more chapters that include "Sustaining Your Circle" and "When Coming From the Heart is Hard To Do."  We learn how to start, how to deepen the experience and how to address obstacles that can impede the group's flow.  Also included are the "five built-in safety devices" that protect all members of a circle.
